No way he gets through all three without a card the way he's been playing (especially since becoming our defensive force).

I would rather he play against Sunderland, get a tactical yellow (if not having one already naturally during the match), and then rest for a week and a half before City.

I'd rather risk Tottenham and West Ham without Gerrard than City. The City game, of course, isn't that big of a deal if we've already lost (because of Gerrard out) to Tottenham, etc., but you still have to like our chances of beating Tottenham without Gerrard better than our chances of beating City without Gerrard.

I think it wouldn't hurt for him to have a rest soon due to the volume of games we have this week so it's hard to argue with this seeing as he would likely get a rest anyway from his suspension. And being back for Coty definitely doesn't hurt
