Joe Allen. Now that's a player we need to discuss.

Most intriguing player on the squad IMO.

One week I hate him and want him sold, the other he's the best guy on the squad.

I have made it known I am not a fan of his size but it doesn't seem to be too big of an issue(no pun intended) but Joe just confuses me. I look at him and just say let's get rid of him he isn't that important and we can find anybody that could replace him but the #'s speak for themselves when it comes to his presence on the ball. Also that article made me think about a lot of his intangibles such as his role to help implement BR's style into the squad.

I'm not sold on him yet though I'll admit he will be better than what I'm giving him credit for I just don't know/think he'll be what that article was implying for us.

What do y'all think?

I think he's quality, you could see it at Swansea and in the first couple of months with LFC. i think we probably overpaid, but we were always going to have to with Rodgers there and I think it probably went a long way to stabilizing the team and introducing his style of play.

He was asked to be a DM early on and that is not his position.

I believe he is a good squad player that could, perhaps, take Stevie's place in the starting 11 down the line, though we will probably be battling Hendo and whoever else may be bought.

I dont think he will ever be world class but he is capable of being a very good player for us... That said, I wouldnt be heartbroken if he was sold down the line and think he is somewhat replaceable...

Good player. He was priceless the first dozen or so matches of the season. As the rest of the squad grew into the system, his form began to worsen.

He's good tactically and very calm on the ball. Obviously a great passer, but he is at a disadvantage compared to most of our other midfielders who are more physically gifted. Pretty excited to see the role he plays this season.
