I know at the Masters he would show up late and only play 9 during the practice rounds. Of course, he was right at the top until he hit the flag stick and then cheated, so it didn't seem to hurt him too much that week.

Here is sort of the more detailed version of the story...but all in all as annoying as Haney can be...he is probably right

I have always said the biggest X factor in all-time greats is that constant, consistent drive to be the best for many more years than the average guy

If Tiger has backed off his preparation due to career-long burnout or whatnot - its over.

Between practice rounds and tournament rounds, Tiger has probably played Augusta 100 times in his life, so I can understand why he wouldn't feel the need to spend a lot of time on the course on Tuesday and Wednesday.
