Yes he has turned a few doubles into outs, he also has misjudged two soft liners into center that turned outs into singles. Twice he has left his feet and dove for balls hit into the gap that he had no chance to catch thereby giving the opposition extra bases.
He saved some runs on several running catches. How many runs has he cost us by hitting .190? We will never know but over the course of a season I believe it is a lot more than he saved.

Let's say Foster hits .295 instead of the .360 he's hitting with a sizeable (but relatively limited at bats) with an OBP of .400 instead of .425
that's a HUGE difference. You know how many balls he/Laird would have to just miss or misplay to make up for that.
Think about it.
