But I guess the problem is that they've run out of handicapping gimmicks, and if Murray plays straight up, I think he'll dominate Serena. And if so, then what will we learn that we didn't already know?

Mac 6-4, 6-4, maybe a 3 in there. Serena wouldn't have a clue on those sidespin serves, stab volleys. She's never seen a true vollyer, and he's the best ever. He could handle her power, he still plays enough to see strong strokes from middle tier players.

i miss the days of vollyers, i'd even love to have Edberg back

Yeah, this wouldn't even be close. Serena would probably lose to most of the top level men's college players. Top 300 men's players would all beat Serena. Top 5 men's singles players would absolutely destroy her and likely she may get a game or two simply because they let up and toy with her.
