I'm not saying is impossible for a short player to win a major, but the odds are stacked against them. Isner serving is like me serving on a 10 and under court. The angles available to taller players are a ridiculous advantage.

Vika is athletic, but that isn't what makes her good. She is good because she is tall, very consistent, can absorb the pace of heavy hitters, hit back with great pace, and switch from offense to defense very quickly. She is one of my favorites. Sharapova is mainly offense, Serena has gotten better at defending, but frankly she doesn't need to be, it is hard to dictate against her. She can win matches just serving and returning.

I went to Indian Wells this year. The difference between Ursula Radwanska, and Maria Sharapova, or even Victoria is simply stunning. Kerber, she is about 5'10", but her legs and built are huge. Radwanska, Kirilenko, Ursula Radwanska are twigs compared to these other women. I have not seen Serena play, but I've seen Venus, and I would chit my pants if I had to hit a ball against either one. I'm sure Serena just walks on court and is up a set just with the intimidation factor in play.

I'm surprised India has so many people who love tennis. I guess is the british rule.

The world loves fútbol. Whatever.

Tennis is the best individual sport. It is the best one on one sports competition.

The exhibition will be good. From Wiki re: Williams sisters vs men

quote:

Karsten Braasch vs. the Williams sisters[edit]

A fourth event dubbed "Battle of the sexes" took place during the 1998 Australian Open[18] between the 203rd ranked male player Karsten Braasch and the Williams sisters. The match took place on court number 12 in Melbourne Park.[19] First Braasch - who was 30 at the time - took on Venus Williams and beat her 6–2. He also played Serena Williams and won 6–1 after the Williams sisters, who were 17 and 16 at the time, said they could beat any man ranked 200 or worse. [20] Braasch said afterwards, "500 and above, no chance" as he claimed he had played like someone ranked 600 in order to keep the game "fun."[21]

I know Serena isn't the same player, but no FREAKING WAY SHE BEATS MURRAY IF THEY BOTH WENT ALL OUT. Although it is an exhibition match. Should be fun.
