I agree with you 100%. I don't care what kind of message the show is trying to send or what the vampires are supposed to represent because I watch this show in a literal sense. I haven't read the books but I assure you the woman that wrote them had no veiled meaning in mind when she created the vampires. I am a human and so would like to see the humans kill all of the damn vampires.

Even taking Jessica's remorse at face value, why would humans want to live with vampires if they have so little self-control?
