Good to know Christianity has been in the forefront for the last fourteen centuries in fighting slavery and violence.
The British navy, the armed force of the most powerful Christian nation at the time, routinely stopped slave-hauling ships in the Mediterranean Sea & Atlantic Ocean & freed the slaves in the 1800s. Most of those were headed to Islamic lands where slavery flourished unchallenged even after Christian nations had banned the slave trade. Islamic regimes continued to enslave their conquered subjects into the 20th century in places such as the Balkans & northern Africa. Christian nations repudiated slavery 150+ yrs ago by their own accord. In contrast, slavery remains legal in several Islamic lands.
