So basically they listed BB and the coaches who were in the title games last year except for John Fox who is probably better than Mike Smith and Pete Carroll. Is that right?

1 and 2 they got right imo. After that it's pretty arbitrary. Besides, seeing as this is a Saints board, CSP wasn't here last year and you're smoking dope if you think Vitt deserves to be on that list.
Personally I think Carroll did a hell of a job last year in Seattle, Harbaugh won the SB, and Smith went 13-3 with Matt Ryan as his quarterback. I could see how they came to the conclusion, although I probably wouldn't take any of the 3 in the top 5 of a Coaches draft except maybe Harbaugh.

No one thinks that, you tool.

I know that it's the offseason and there is nothing to talk about but all this ranking and top 5 or top 10 shite just seems pointless. Especially because everyone has a different opinion. Just gets old

what has Jim Harbaugh done to be #2?
Posted on 6/11/13 at 6:31 pm to hsfolk
John Harbaugh is a bad man.
Top 5 is Belichick, Harbaugh, Harbaugh, Payton, Coughlin, in no particular order.
John Fox and Mike Tomlin belong on that list before Smith and Carroll.

Big picture, people. The Seahawks beat team with a cripple at QB, and the Falcons beat the Seahawks.
Besides that, what have Smith and Carroll done to prove they're elite coaches?
Three years ago, Jim Caldwell would be on the list. Two tears ago, Rex Ryan would be on the list. That's all I'm saying.

Jeff Fisher love anyone?
Rams were a dumpster of a program, and he's made huge strides in St. Louis in his short time there.

They got this poll from Twitter pollsters, right there is why it's wrong.

I'd like to see if they put Payton in the top 5 after the 2006 season like they are doing with Carroll, and to some extent, Jim Harbaugh. Don't get me wrong, I think they are good coaches, but not top 5 material.
And Mike Smith.....that is dumbfounding.

Mike Smith doesn't sniff that list. He's got a ton of talent he can do nothing with.

Jim Harbaugh definitely belongs there. He took a team Singletary couldn't get to .500 and almost reached back to back Super Bowls. And I hate that motherfricker.

Can't stand him myself, but the man has set the bar really high for anyone moving from college to the NFL.
