Bastian was brilliant on those first 2 assists, opened up the offense big time.
And Mandzo's header was just about perfect...Müller obviously played well too, but I continue to be impressed with Thiago. Pep seems to favor him as well.

Was it just a knock or a legit injury?
Also, that kid talking is a bit creepy

The guy is legit happy in Munich. Well, Bayern. Kudos. He looks REALLY calm and in control of everything. Yáll got a potential all time great on your hands.

Took him a little time to adjust earlier in the season...lately, he's been one of our most consistent players, and has even come up big in tense moments (Stuttgart rocket game winner in extra time).

Let's just reflect for a second on what that win over Wolfsburg means...
--16th straight league win
--at least one goal in the last 60 league matches
--undefeated in last 49 league matches
For those that say it's a one-team league, watch the first 60 minutes of this match...the Wolves had Die Roten on their heels for much of it. They got ahead early, had momentum (that stadium was rocking!) and had Bayern not equalized off a corner in the first 25 minutes it could have been a different outcome.
True, the game changed big time when Thiago & Mandzo were subbed in, and as soon as Müller took the lead, Wolfsburg basically gave up while Bayern didn't call off the dogs...but that entire first half was exciting and equally competitive. Wolfsburg missed a ton of easy opportunities for goals.

Thiago waltzed onto the field and created 3 goals right off the bat

First pass to Müller was brilliant...

Arjen Robben extended his contract to 2017.

Yeah and Bundesliga teams voted down goal line technology for some unknown reason

No newsflash, but Thiago out 6-8 weeks...Lahm or Kroos as replacement?
ETA: Kroos up front, Lahm/Schweine in DM
Also, Rafinha and especially van Buyten looked horrible Saturday, though Starke was off too...I'm not reading too much into a draw in which we rested 7 starters, but just shows you how important guys like Boateng/Javi and Neuer are
Now let's get some road goals at Old Trafford!

Had a wedding in Shreveport this weekend, so I'm late on Saturday's match, but Jesus...
Good news first...we can play our b-squad the rest of the way in the league if we can get past ManU...other B'liga teams who are complaining can sit on a pole.
Bad news...take a seat, may be a while...
This'll sound arrogant since we have the Meisterschale in hand, but what a way to waste history. Such a legitimate chance to finish the league undefeated....Starting three way too young players (Hojberg, Weisermeister, Sallahi)...you can start one with a half-decent XI, but not all 3. I'm all for concentrating on CL matches; lets face it...that's all that matters. But this failing to score a goal in 65 matches is more of a mental detriment than playing Alaba & Rafinha/Lahm instead of two very green players.
Moreover, I feel like this game gave ManU even more material to help park the bus in the second leg. Granted, he didn't have great assistance, but Mandzo (admittedly my guy) isn't quite right. This machine that couldn't be stopped seems to have just died with Thiago's injury (that's had so much more of an impact than I thought it would). It just looks like the team is so cold sending tries into the box...had maybe 3 in the derby.
Looks like Starke is out for the year with an elbow injury, so Neuer may have to play out the season in all 3 competitions (jeez did he run out of the box a lot against Augsburg...the risk of him being more tired hurts more than Alaba sitting out the first half...dude ran more than Van Buyten did).
Stepping back from the ledge now, but this team isn't right heading into a must-win at home. Confidence seems like it shrunk as soon as the CL Theme was played at Wembley and our dudes were grinning like schoolgirls.
We better win Wednesday...

I had no problem starting Højbjerg but playing him on the wing was dumb. He looked much better in the middle in the second half. I thought Weiser should some promise at right back. Didn't really notice Sallahi much.
I think it would be wise to play Højbjerg a lot more often as long as we're in the CL. All of the CMs are dropping like flies, let the kid give them a breather.

Nice to have one of the league's up and coming mid's coming in next season, curious how Pep might use him.
Haven't watched a ton of Frankfurt this season, but like what I saw out of Rode before the injury
