That headline is misleading. Andy was not fired as he was not hired for the current semester. It sounds like instructor positions are only done a semester at a time. He's talked numerous times about how if he didn't get voted out by a certain date, then he would not have a job at his college come the fall semester. The statement from his college does not speak towards future employment - just a factual statement that he is not currently employed there. He was not fired because he did not have a job in the first place.
