General question, kinda Iggy related, but in general, would y'all as an professional athlete, who has made a good amount of money to live a nice life, take a 3 yr $ 36m /yr to help rebuild a franchise, or 3 yr $28m/yr to try to win a championship?

I'm just curious. I would definitely take less for a legit chance to win, but it does seem that a lot of athletes will just chase the money.

Iggy's at that stage in his career that contending is becoming important, but $8 million is a lot of money to pass up. It'd be different if we were talking the Bobcats, but I think Dell, Monty and Benson will be able to sell the Pelicans as a franchise on the rise. I don't think the Pelicans will outbid everyone like that, but if they did I'd say Iggy would become a Pelican.

the problem is that i doubt many teams close to a title have cap room to offer 3/28, regardless
