Does anyone else remember this? I was fascinated by the story as a toddler. I just read up on it and the father of the baby was like 16. They have it in full on Youtube.

Never saw the movie but I was at LSU when the real life event happened. This was at the same time as the Robert Bork hearings (Senate Democrats blocked Bork's appointment to the Supreme Court out of partisan politics, resulting in the term to "Bork" someone).
I remember all this because of something Dennis Miller said on SNL's Weekend Update:

In a desperate, last-ditch move to create sympathy for his failing Supreme Court nomination, Robert Bork has thrown himself down a well in Texas.
So far there's been no attempt to rescue him.

Considering she is 2 years younger than me, if I did as a toddler, I would be well within my right!

Baby Jessica ordeal captivated me too. I remember looking for the TV movie before and never being able to find it.

My grandmother had taped it and we used to watch it all the time. That and "I know my first name is Steven."

People that don't like Jessica these days send her "Get Well Soon" cards.

actually lived in Midland,Texas in the mid 90's. My brother's 4th grade teacher lived in the house.
Drove by it a few times but there was nothing to see.
I feel like I watched that movie a bunch in the late 80's and early 90's, might have had my grandpa put it on tape for me.

yes I actually remember it very well for some reason. I was pretty young when it came on but it was a good made for tv movie.
