I've put my sailboat in some nasty harbors all over the word and nothing beats a good PTEF wax.
You have to put 3 or 4 coats on at least once a year, probably should use the acid wash stuff right before that.
If you wax it well then when you pull out the boat immediately rinse it off, maybe grab a bucket and scrub the stubborn spots with some dawn right there.
If the brown scum crap dries on then sits in the sun it is hell getting off fiberglass.
