This! The gelcoat become much more resistant to absorbing stains once a good couple of coats of wax are applied.

3M polish will get most stains out with a little elbow grease...just make sure to follow it with some decent wax.

How about that magic eraser? I've read that it will require some polish anyway to even out the coloring. Some have claimed it did some damage to the gel coat...I'm not certain about it either way.
