Not taking anything away from Nola, but this NOla>Gray crap lets me know who knows baseball and who does not.

You don't know that much about pitching yourself. I don't believe that Gray, good as he could be, had good control of his fastball this evening. Sure, he is a fine pitcher and a high draft choice, but he was way too dependent on his slider to get strikes both called and swinging. Also, regardless of what those commentators said, the strike zone was huge tonight. Both pitchers quickly adapted to it, but Nola was the better pitcher tonight. His fastball had late movement, and he had good command of both it and his curve. He was more economical with his pitches, and thus was able to complete the game without running out of gas. Gray ran out of gas! He threw a shitload of pitches. Also, the Tigers were able to adjust to him in the later innings. Oklahoma's idea of an adjustment was to get one more hit in the eighth, I believe. Nola was beginning to wear down, but he finished the game keeping the movement on his fastball. 90 mph is plenty major-league fast if pitches have late movement and the pitcher can hit his spots. Nola never really had to use his change-up this evening. Did you notice? His fastball and slider were more than OK could handle.

Nola is the better pitcher. 12-0...SEC...2 hit CG. You're the idiot, Moustache...a pompous one at that!

You boys can't even admit when we beat a great pitcher.....probably a top 3 pitcher in the NCAA.....that dude will take a K. Gausman like path to MLB but all you boys do is say how much he sucks.
