Flood Insurance contents coverage

First time homeowner...
What amount of coverage do I need on a 3000sf house (2 story with approx 1800sf on the ground level). I am 3 ft above base flood elevaton. I dont have top of the line anyting right now. Is 35k in the right range?

Its cheap as frick, double what you think it might be. You will never notice the cash....unless you are underinsured in a flood

Remember flood won't cover contents in sheds, etc or anything lower than the first floor besides a few exceptions...

What your flood zone? Go 250/100

Im in AE flood zone. I have the building as 250 and I will take your recomendation for contents as 100. Thanks

If you're 3 ft above BFE, go with the maximum 250/100. It will be about $343/year or very close to it.
