I doubt that has changed. the kid just wants to enjoy the process like a ton of other kids get to do.

and now something has changed
he assumed he could commit to LSU and still get to the enjoy the process but apparently that wasn't the case, so he backed off knowing he is take at any time for LSUs staff

lsu may still be the favorite, but not as much as they once were
the percentage may be slightly less, but not by much.

It is painful at times to watch you guys try to rationalize how negatives are a good thing.
Screw him. LSU stayed loyal and gave him an offer even though he wasn't smart enough to get his grades in high school. And with the threat of 1 and done we stayed true to our offer.
And he decommits!?
Don't want, DON'T NEED, and will not miss him.
Miles needs to rescind his offer. We have plenty of talent coming in

Shut it, fool...you're going to feel much different if he ends up in the SECW and not at LSU.
Come home, Dookus!

Not twice in 9 weeks, which is now the standard for a team not named Bama to win it all.
Do...you...understand?

The only thing that changed is he is qualified and getting more attention from schools. His feelings towards LSU haven't.

you can pretend the chances he winds up at lsu havent changed but that doesnt make it true.
And you can pretend the opposite and that doesn't make it true either.

he actually didnt have an LSU offer the entire time.
There was a very recent artilce, I think the day before his pledge to us when his coach basically said he was moving on from LSU because we werent showing any love. Then bam he gets the offer and he commits. That may be the very reason schools told him they arent gonna bother him. I can't find it though, maybe someone can post a link. It was obvious after the article and his commitment the next day, the guy was 110% LSU no matter what.

Not sure if this has been posted but heres a video from NOLA with Les Miles talking about the Williams decommitting and also talking about some possible rbs. To me it seemed like he was hinting something about us possiblly having a silent commit from Fournette but im not sure. LINK

Yeah you don't know shite. He had the grades and has them now.

Miles disagrees.
quote:
Earlier Tuesday, highly touted junior college wide receiver D’Haquille Williams said he was decommitting from the Tigers’ Class of 2014.
And surprisingly so, Miles was OK with it.
“I’m all for it,” he said. “If a player wants to decommit but still stay interested and it’s still this early, we’ll continue to have a scholarship for him and continue to recruit him.”

Yeah he was defiantly hinting something about Fournette.

I just want us to get over the hump...we're #2 in the land...even when we beat everyone we play, it's still not enough...I want prospects like this on our side just to leave no doubt going forward. Bama can't take us when you add in guys like Quille to our side. I want to be #1...I want this kid to know how important it is to LSU and their fans that he ends up here and helps us win it all.
That wasn't a jab at you bro, rather some of the regular doom and gloom posters.
I agree, would be a huge loss.

we have no idea what would be the impact of not getting DW. too many variable currently: how good is leslie, will either/both landryobj go pro, impact of fournette at rb, emergance of te. he is definitely 5* good but not necessarily a game changer at LSU GIVEN ALL THE OTHER POTENTIAL TALENT.
