The Stockyard is fine. Its a steak place downtown. It largely caters to tourists and "date nights". Personally I think it is wildly overpriced and the service can be sketchy.
There are better steak places in Nashville. If I am going out for steak I go to Jimmy Kelley's or Sperry's. Those are two old school steak joints where the service is spot on and they aren't gouging tourists and men looking to impress ladies.

We were tourists and it was a "date night" for the wife and I with the baby in Huntsville with her parents.
