The link to the photographer's site led me to this video showing more abandoned sets from a few other movies. Video by Rä di Martino

Seems like some of it is from Lawrence of Arabia.

Anyone recognize the other sets?

How has someone not gone and laid claim to that stuff?

If one of these sets was abandoned in the middle of some place like Utah or Oklahoma, people would pillage it, put it in an online auction and have it sold withing a week. That, or someone would put a tarp over the tops of the structures and live there Charlie Manson style.

ETA: Little bit of an Anti-West sentiment to this?
