Yes it is, but not coming out of college lol. They sacrifice offense in the majors if the guy can play defense and handle the staff, but all of the guys that actually make it to the majors could rake in college. Kurt Suzuki has a career .692 OPS in the majors but had a .1037 career OPS in college at Cal St Full.
