no b/c Lebron is already farther along in his career at MJ is at this point when it comes to age. MJ achieved more in less years

The only shitty about going by age is the unfair disadvantage for some players. For me, it is most notably unfair for Kareem. He won 3 MVP awards in his first five years. If he was in the NBA at 18, it would not surprise me if he won one or two more

I think the best player by age is interesting.

Ages 25 and under:
Kareem (maybe wilt)

26 to 28:
Lebron

29 to 34:
Jordan

35 to 41:
Kareem

42+:
Greg Oden
