Breaking Bad Season 5 - Part 1 (Spoilers)

just got caught up on Breaking Bad and finished the first part of season 5 last night. is this not one of the best 8 TV episodes ever made? is that hyperbole or truth?
I've never been so tense in my life while watching a show not named LOST. it's completely unpredictable at times, but the most striking feature of the season was when you think you can predict it, they make it so suspenseful you forget what's happening.
the biggest example of how great the season is so far is the final scene from the mid season finale, just before *SPOILERS* Hank finds the Walt Whitman book, and the whole family is out by the pool relaxing.
I noticed 3 minutes were left in the episode, and my heart started racing while my eyes moved all over the screen, waiting and watching for some explosion or shots fired, etc., and just when the suspense was built up so high, they slap me in the face with Hank's subtle but powerful number 2 which leads him to find the book.
I'm kicking myself for switching the channel off the series premier of this show, but it was well worth it to catch up. this is the best show on TV in a long time.

The last twenty minutes of the train heist episode was easily the most tense I've ever felt watching a TV show. My arse hurt afterwards because of my cheeks being clenched together for so long.
Then once you think everything is gravy and the boys are home free...fricking Todd.

it seems like every episode had a moment like this. the writers aren't holding anything back, they're throwing Walt and Jesse, etc into so many situations they haven't dealt with before

I've enjoyed his arc more than Walt's.
I think it would be cool to if we get a scene where he bumps into his parents and/or his little shite head brother somewhere.

oh yeah i mean his transition and developement was amazingly done and he turns towards being the protagonist and its greatly written
but he would always crack me up in the earlier seasons

I can't say I've ever hated a character on BB. Pretty much all of them are terrible people. I find the majority of them fascinating.
The only character who really irritates me is Marie.
