From how SVP said it, this may happen a lot to players late during the 6th and 7th rounds. Teams play on their desperation. Nobody has ever been dumb enough to say it. Much easier to waive an UFA and save face with fans.

So guys really do turn down being drafted by a team and say "I've already signed with ______?"

So said drafting team just calls the next guy???
