Exactly, but the punishment for the misdemeanor doesn't end there. It also goes on to the judges assessment of whether or not Hill is living up to the terms of his probation by being in bar fights @ 2am...
Let me ask you a serious question, IF Hill was up for a misdemeanor sex offense today (instead of the fight), would that be enough to revoke his probation he is serving? (in your eyes)

That's not all that matters. A felony charge would likely result in jail time, while a misdemeanor likely result in stricter probation.

And Hill has already been in front of the judge and the judge has made no indication that this misdemeanor will result in revoking Hill's probation.

Yes, but that has absolutely nothing to do with this case or how the judge handles Hill.
