You are correct. They didn't pay for those seats. Their parents did. It is part of the package + tuition, student fees, blah blah blah.
But trust me, they are paid for. I paying for some right now.
That having been said. If you get there first you got squatters rights.

welp this thread went full retard. what about the students who actually got there in time, did their parents not pay fees?

if they showed up in the 3rd inning, they didn't get squatter's rights. they likely got one person to stand in line all day, got tickets, then went and did something else until it was "cool" to show up
