poll results compiled, if ya want a gauge on how ST will feel about the pick, here's the our picking order by the cumulative average (same thing one month ago)-
BOLD=taken
01- Joeckel 2.1 (2.5)
02- Fisher 2.7 (4.1)
03- Jordan 4.4 (4.8)

04- Lotulelei 5.1 (6.0)
05- Jones 5.8 (3.7)
06- Johnson 6.2 (6.9)
07- Floyd 6.3 (5.6)
08- Ansah 6.8 (6.7)
09- Mingo 7.0 (8.4)

10- Richardson 8.3 (2 votes)
11- Milliner 10.1 (8.1)
12- Ogletree 11.5 (10.9)
13- Rhodes 12.3 (12.3)
14- Austin 14.0 (1 vote)

Richardson received 8 ballots and Austin 10. All the rest had at least 13 and most 15-16.

Outside of those-
Werner 5 votes 12.6 avg (13.9), Vacarro 4 votes 11.0 avg (10.9)
3 votes- Carradine, Cooper, Warmack, Minter
2 votes- Eifert, Reid, Cyprien, Patterson, Moore (12.5), Trufant
1 vote- Watson, Allen, Hayden, Elam, Smith, Williams, Fluker

Movers- Just like in real life draft boards Damontre Moore has gone from the #14 most wanted to only 2 votes. Vacarro also fell off the chart from #12. Curious that ranking for Jones is a step change lower than a month ago. Tavon Austin went from 1 vote to #14 ranking.

I think it's exciting at #15 you could have a fair chance of getting the #5, 9, 12, 13 or 14 overall players on our big board.

I want Mingo, Jordan, Ansah, or Jones at 15. Butler is on, for all intents and purposes, a 1 year contract. There is a great chance that he isn't here next season, good or bad. The Saints will still need a OLB.

If they are able to trade back, say 30/31, I like Reid, Trufant, Cyprein, or one of the Williams (Sly or Jessie).

Agreed. Seems overly simple now that we would take him.

this is the ultimate butthurt measuring stick. Not who or who is not taken. The hurt will be the lower someone is ranked- or not even listed , that is taken over any higher ranked player. Top 12 gone and Rhodes taken, some will snipe but on a whole okay. Top 12 gone and Keenan Allen is taken, they'll be a lot of bitching going on. Mingo & and Ansah both available and they'll be plenty of talk both ways.

at least 4 people here wanted him 10th most

spose ya could say he was the 5th most wanted here among who was available

Hope he turns into an Ed Reed-Polamalu dynamo. We'll see.

No secret that I along with many others considered Jones the ideal selection. Again, I just say, I hope I'm proven wrong. Maybe Vacarro will be the sparkplug ball hawk on the backend that we have missed.

I'd say they are sliding not all but quite a large pile of chips onto our three young OLBs. If 40 sacks are generated this year we'll be good and forget about this. If we're still stuck in the 30 range and Jones is piling up double digits in Pittsburgh I'll be sad.

In any case, the end of the Harper-Jenkins plan is in sight. We're about due for a solid hit on one of these 1st Rd defensive guys.

So a group of message board guys had the 17th player taken ranked 5th? Seems legit.
