I just started it. it starts with a construction "tutorial" where it tells you to build houses, a fishing hut, lumberjack hut, goat farm, etc. now i'm on my own I'm guessing

yea, im not far enough yet to see if there are any "for purchase only" buildings or not at higher levels.

bottom right corner is a "store" that you can spend the rubies to buy wood, stone, etc. I'm assuming they'll let you buy these rubies later.
edit: it's DEFINITELY going to have something like that. I'm exploring a new area, and it's going to take an hour, but I could have done "Explore Now" and spent 225 rubies for it.

thats classic "pay to win faster" from ubisoft, TSO style. gameplay will slow waaaaay down after the initial tutorial is finished.

yea, once you're on your own, it slows down. takes 3+ minutes to produce one unit of cotton, then another 3+ minutes to turn that one cotton into one article of clothing. you need wood to build things, and it takes a little under 2 minutes to produce one unit of wood. all of it is like that.

yea, that's what you get with the browser games like this. it's pretty fun though. more in depth than clash of clans

do they have access to bread yet? or you may need to build a tavern. it's 2 wheat farms for 1 mill then 1 bakery so 2:1:1, or they could need clothing?

I figured out the vassals are actually making me more, it's just this game has a weird way of quantifying things on a per hour/day scale, like money generated, items produced, etc.

yeah, the resource counter is basically worthless, have to just pay attn to what numbers youre at to decide if you need more or not
