Question to the HR people, interviewed

The other day for a job in healthcare that I'm definitely qualified for.
The trend seems to be to have more people in the interview these days. Had 1interview with 3different managers and then a peer interview with 3 people.
Interview couldn't have gone better. Some people were saying they thought I'd fit in and everything but welcome.
But I didn't get the job.
They asked me nothing about qualifications or anything having to do with the actual job.
It was mostly personal questions and "what's your 5 year plan" and stuff like that.
So it seems as though it was personal because they asked me nothing about the job? Or was the whole interview a courtesy and the decision was already made?
Any thoughts?

What's your question? Lol.
Not trying to be a dick but they don't have to hire you. Sorry. Work harder?

Yeah, every interview I've been to recently was with a group.
3 or 4 people with a set of questions ready to fire.

I'm not pissed that they didn't hire me (maybe a little) but my question is really, in such group interviews anyone who doesn't like something said or rubbed slightly the wrong way gets veto power?
I've never been in an interview where I got such good feedback and even at the end of the interview it still felt like I was being convinced to "join the team".
So is this SOP for hiring, is it likely that I rubbed 1person the wrong way.
Since they did not hire me and they did not discuss anything about clinical ability, was it purely personal? Didn't like my clothes or something?
Interviewing is such a dog and pony show anyway.
The only place that I did hiring, an HR person did an initial and I did the second and final interview.
What is the purpose of group interviews from managerial standpoint?
Just wanting a different POV for why what happened, happened.

My guess is there is probably some regulation with the company. Certain questions may need to be asked and possibly to have a few witnesses???

I work in the consulting world and some of our clients have policies where they have to interview multiple people for a position even we have a contract in place that we are doing the work. We have to present multiple clients to them even if the manager already knows which one of our people they want.
