It's not so much the rain, but the almost constant cover of clouds for 9 months out of the year that worried me and my wife when we were seriously considering moving to Seattle.

It's the Sonic Ice that tripped me out. That was up in Oregon between the mountains and the coast. All damn day at random times Sonic Ice would proceed to fall from the heavens. Rain or shine, hot or cold. It would be Sonic icing.

Yeah I guess I should have said the lack of sunshine instead of rain. When I visited it was only overcast for one of the three days. My buddy who was stationed there said I had no idea how lucky it was that I got two days of sun in the same week.
