Yeah the financial aspect makes sense. And I could see how someone might take a chance with Katz by not offering him any money. But I don't even think Rhymes gets drafted. If he does my guess is somewhere between 40 and 50.

Unfortunately it's all about the $ now. "How much can we save by taking this guy here?" A lot of guys drafted 'out of place' because of how much they'll save the team, not because of their skill level.
With the new rules, there are only 40 rounds now. So let's hope it's before then!
