Jefferson, according to our very reliable staff, was announced as an early enrollee and would be in at mid-term. What's curious, she should have played since our SEC schedule had not started, but she didn't. I thought it was strange, but then again, it makes our staff seem a bit unreliable. Well, lo and behold, Laquita had to go to work early to earn money for her family. How much money do these WNBA chick really earn? Was LaQ ever enrolled at LSU, as announced? If not why was this in the press release?
Look..........I know how much money WBB makes for our coffers, so I am not trying to encourage biting the hand that feeds our programs. Not at all!!!

When they announced her commitment the plan was always for her to start playing next season. Stop trying to make something out of nothing like you always do.
From the Advocate in July:
quote:
Jefferson will enroll at LSU next spring by way of Jefferson (Mo.) Community College and will become eligible to compete during the 2013-14 season. She will have two years of eligibility remaining once she joins the Lady Tigers.
