Just wanted to know what y'all do on the little things that go out. Switches fuses bilges batteries live well pumps aerators etc. What do you try and fix yourself and what do you just let the shop do?

most motor related things go the shop...anything else I will try and get working on my own.

Its not that I can't mess with the motor but I don't really have a way of testing it to see if my fixes have worked. so I just save myself the head ache and bring to the professionals.

1) 4 stoke - so change the oil and oil filter
2) Change the fuel/water separator
3) Change the fuel filter
4) Change the lower unit oil
5) Change the anodes
6) Pull the plugs and inspect
7) Crawl under the boat/trailer and inspect inner bearing seals, spindle welds on the axle, boards on the trailer, and look over the hull for new sratches.
8) Wax the fiberglass.

I put mine in with the boat doc twice a year. Fall and Spring.

Winterize it, then get it ready to go again.

I'm considering the ultimate maintenance solution.

Sell it.
