You watch the Lakers more than any of us....don't you think they had to for us to have any shot at the playoffs?

i believe he had to. my problem isnt that he played kobe like he did in THIS situation. its that we were in this situation to begin with

Resting keeps you fresher during games, which generally leads to better overall play. Maybe he takes a few less defensive plays off instead of using them to pace himself. Plus now he misses the last 2 games of the season. Henry Abbot article about how heavy minutes can be counter productive.
