i changed from ones that were completely flat to the ones that 34 put a picture of. I thought they were going to be more durable than the ones that just have flat rubber, which they are more durable, but they stick out about 1/4" at rest. so a little water gets in before the water pressure closes it. none of them are completely dry I guess. If I want the boat to be completely dry I put a snap plug in them from the inside.
Hardly any boats are designed correctly to sit fully loaded and people fishing out of the back to drain the deck. usually the scupper deck drains are under the water in that situation.
