But I don't see Harper going anywhere this year. Next year is going to be the year he extends or gets cut.
Leonhard is here to push the backups(mostly Bush) and for vet depth and special teams. If we draft a safety Jenkins(who'd save us $2.5 mil) would be the one in trouble.

I know you were responding to Chad, but I wasn't suggesting cut him until after June 1 (and ONLY if we go safety), where he would save $3.6 mill this year (more than Jenkins $2.5). Also Jenkins could always move to a nickel role because of his corner experience. Harper is one-dimensional.

It'd be an honorable thing to do to let him find a new employer as early as possible. No sense keeping him either.
