I will typically listen to the "Big 3" of Leppard albums all the way through - High n' Dry, Pyromania and Hysteria - each has its merits and each has a more organic feel, which was relatively common at the time - the residual effect of the great period for albums was still in effect when these records were made. Efforts were made to make the entire album listenable, rather than just filler to get 2 or 3 hits to the public. Hysteria was done at the tail end of that era.

I'll challenge you to do this - pull one of those great albums, I like Fleetwood Mac - Rumours as a good choice. Listen to that album and see if you don't say, "G-ddamn! That would be an entire 15 or 20 year career for most recording artists today."

No doubt. Many people trash some of those groups today, but if they were releasing that music in the current time they would easily be the biggest thing out there.
