And I think it's very different when we're talking about her skills with Needle vs. skills with a sword she is unfamiliar with. I would assume castle forged steel of that size is probably heavier. By what we have seen in the show she has likely not had near enough training to do what she can against an obviously accomplished swordsman without her "own" sword.

Excellent point. Fighting with something so rapier-like like Needle is different than fighting with a much heavier weapon like she had.
