you cant throw crap at people the way he was doing.
period.
end of story.
NOTHING else matters.
He should have been fired on the spot when that video was shown to the AD.
Anybody else does that in any other profession and they are done, no questions asked, no shits given.
The AD trying to basically sweep it under the rug with a fine and a small suspension was a joke and he deserved to get shitcanned for that too.

No he doesn't. The AD didn't throw a basketball at anybody's legs. Did it happen again after the suspension? Sounds like the AD put an end to the ball throwing. He did his job.
ESPN has no qualms about allowing Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame athletic director keep their jobs after Brian Kelly sent a kid up into a portable video tower in high winds and the kid died.
ESPN picks and chooses who they want to go after and who they want to protect.
