I just can´t understand how Thiago Silva would contemplate a pay cut to play for Barça. Da frick?
I´d fire his advisors NOW, because they are the only ones benefitting from that transaction.
Painfully obvious, of course, but he´s got nothing to prove. He´s not going to be any bigger, playing for Barça, simply, he may be closer to a championship, than with his current side.
Again, he´s older than I thought.

He's Brazilian and wants to play for Barça. Seems pretty straightforward to me?

I'm not surprised at all by his comments. He's actually the fourth PSG player I've heard publicly say/hint something like this the past few months.
Pastore, Ibra and Lavezzi have all made somewhat similar comments to the press where their preference to return to Serie A even if wages wouldn't be near PSG levels seemed pretty clear.
Silva -- who really seems like a good guy and always comes across as a lot more humble than most -- repeated numerous times in interviews last season how much he missed AC Milan and would love to return to the point of it seeming a bit uncomfortable.
Not sure that it's a huge knock on PSG as some of it is probably simply that Ancelotti and Leonardo were the key figures convincing these guys to sign on and now Carlo is gone and Leonardo is suspended for over a year if he stays.
Also, I'm sure that the glitter of those huge checks tended to wear off once enough of them were cashed and some players started missing higher profile matches.
