There is a 137 page thread on Neogaf detailing the mod started by the creator here. It will allow you to downsample, unlock framerate, pick between various AA methods, add ambient occulusion, change/remove/resize the UI, and add custom textures along with many other graphics tweaks. Highly recommended.
The DS to PC port gets a lot of flack, but it seems that there are a lot of people who love it after installing mods. I'd like to one day experience it on PC myself.
