va tech.....in the edge of the mountains....passionate fanbase...only about 2.5 hour drive past knoxville

Blacksburg is prolly a 13 hour drive from NOLA. If you want to fly. UVA is much easier to get too. Charlottesville is only about an hour from Richmond which has a much easier airport to fly into. There is an airport in Charlottesville too.
Due to family in Richmond, that would be a much easier place to reach
