And I more or less redacted that statement and set all of those questions straight. So what's the big deal?
It is still entirely possible for them to buy from a retailer by buying in bulk, unassembled...but it seems they are purchasing overstock from distributors and sending them to Sam's HQ for redistribution to stores.
Either way, the moral of the story is don't buy from Sam's if you want a lifetime warranty from BGE.
