I mean the potato crusted chicken pasta was french fries over pasta...tasted like crap.
They probably need a couple of Italian chefs
to straighten out the menu. No wonder they 're
in trouble.

I thought their food was as good as anything in Italy.

Can someone from this board confirm that?

TIA

How are they in trouble? They are one of the largest and most profitable chains in the country.

To be fair to the lady, when I went to Italy, I was not overly impressed with the Italian food I had. New Orlleans-Italian food is different - it is more flavorful. Everything was relatively bland in Italy.

But, Olive Garden is just awful. I think they microwave all of their dishes. Their Chicken Piccatta has a decent taste to it, but you can get the same thing from the freezer section at Sam's. It tastes just like Olive Garden.

Actually got the double stuffed mushrooms appetizer to go on a whim recently. They were not near as good as I remember them being (last time I had them was probably 2 years ago). Any restaurant that's known solely for their salad and breadsticks should not be expected to provide anything quality outside of those very 2 things. It is what it is.....
