It's never a bunch of silver 3's and 4's on the other team if you're trying to get into Silver 2

Nor should it be really. I agree if you're in silver getting grouped with a plat on either team shouldn't happen, that is too big a gap. At the same time, I think one player from a few levels up (going for silver 1 up to say gold 3, maybe even 2) is OK. It should be harder to go up, otherwise everyone would go up.

I do agree with you though sometimes it gets carried away, especially when it is all stacked on one team. That said, I have had games where before it starts when you look at the divisions you think you are going to get smoked, then end up winning the game. I dunno if people get put in roles they don't normally play or what.

Personally, I don't even look anymore. I don't really care what my team or their team is ranked. If I play mistake free I have a good chance of winning - all I can control is my play. We've all made that one mistake face checking or at baron etc 45 min in that has thrown a game before

It would get harder to go up the more that you won. Because if you're climbing divisions, your competition would improve because you would be playing increasingly higher divisions. I just think the teammate/opponent selection should stay closer to your current ranking rather than you having to deal with the skill level of a division 3-4 tiers away and getting punished for not being ready for it.

Not if your Bronze III mid is facing a Plat V mid who winds up getting fed.

I would venture to say 90% of the time, I have the least deaths on my team, while the person with the highest death total, can have upwards of 3-4 times my deaths (which is awful).

If you're outclassed, your goal changes from "I need to carry" to "I need to play safe as not to feed the player outclassing me by 3 divisions" and let the other lanes win this one for me.
