Meh
Jayce is strong as long as someone knows what they are doing.
I don't think any champ is really OP right now.
Minus Nami

I think jayce, hecarim, and thresh are op, but not game breaking.

I ban hellarims over malphite. They both have "jump at you and CC you" ults but I think hec's numbers are in a little bit stronger place right now.
Khazix is another one I ban because some douche on my team will feed it.

Ok, question to the fellow LoL'ers. There was a moment in my learning of how to play LoL on a decent level where everything just randomly clicked one day. I'll never forget it. It was the first game that I actually had a good game with Zed. My first 10 or so games with him were awful. I did nothing but feed. Partially because he was a new champ to me and his learning curve was extremely high for someone of my experience, and partially because I was new to the game in general. The same game I figured out "Hey, Zed isn't so bad." was the same game I figured out, "Hey, we don't have vision on dragon. That's an issue. I better buy some wards and help out." and "Hey, when my mid-laning counterpart goes to gank a lane, I need to follow.". It all clicked at one time and suddenly LoL didn't seem so confusing. Any of you have that sudden moment of revelation or was it just a gradual learning experience?

I dunno hec is pretty crazy, i see him banned nearly every game I've played. Never seen a jayce go mid, but I've only seen mediocre jayces go top, he just doesn't seem to bring that much to teamfights. Maybe i just have never seen a really good one?

Zac is fine now. He's not that bad. Jayce is stronk right now but I don't think he's broken.

I love when people rage about Zed being OP. Especially mid laners. Get a Zhonyas and Zed is fricked. When a champ can be rendered completely useless with a single item, he's not OP. Or just pick Fizz. frick Fizz.
ETA: Not to mention Zed is the epitome of squishy.

I like to kha'zix mid. Zhonyas hurts kha but as long as you keep your cs up, kha is relevant and can get fed.

As far as an update on my experience with smartcasting, I absolutely love it on skillshot champs. (Zed, Ahri, Lux, etc.) But I HATED it on Jax. Lost quite a few fights I should have won last night because he jumped on a minion instead of the champion.

Speaking more to this, I feel that being elite (or even above average) at a game such as this, it's not so much about your mechanics (as those become naturally repetitive after hundreds of matches), but moreso about your knowledge of the game itself (ie: knowledge of items, situations, and most importantly knowledge of champs strengths and weaknesses so you know when you have an advantage, what strategy to use and when you need to play more defensively).
For me this logically seems like it would come from just playing the game as much as possible, but with the sheer amount of champions it seems almost impossible to become THAT knowledgeable without having LoL being your full time job.
How do some of you guys do it? I constantly watch matches, streams of good players, read articles written by great players, etc... and I still feel like I'm not even 10% into the knowledge I should have to even be an average player. What do you guys do to get better aside from simply constantly playing the game?

quote:I study. Like legit study pro matches. I pick a role, and I watch that role on the minimap constantly. I watch his paths, his item builds at certain times, his responsibility when the team fights happen, etc. There's no way you can just casually watch a game and learn everything you need to know to become an above average player. I don't consider myself all that great of a player, but I will say I have improved leaps and bounds since I started to seriously study the game.
