Back in like 2013, I built a PC with this thread's assistance. The PSU has been dying for a year or 2 now and deciding when to turn on; finally the GPU bricked; can't get the motherboard past b2.

So anyway, it's time for a new build. Might re-use case, and I already bought a Rm850x PSU to replace the one I have now, but I never installed it. So after a couple of days of catching up on hardware, this is where I'm at:

PCPartPicker Part List: LINK

CPU: Intel - Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($389.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i PRO 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($109.99 @ Corsair)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z390 DESIGNARE ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($269.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($187.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB XC GAMING Video Card ($273.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $1231.95

Really I don't know what motherboard I should be getting; that's just tomshardware's pick for best Z390. Anything wrong with this setup, that I don't know? like something about to be outdated? Sticking with a 1440 monitor I bought from Barracuda for now; could this do 4k?.

Either get an 9400F now or wait a couple of weeks for the Ryzen 3000 series.
No need for 32gb of RAM.
And yeah, you're definitely gonna need more than a 1660 Ti for 4k.
