Many think that Gerald Willis may be a future DT.

DT is the one position we're waiting out a bit and is causing some concern and questions from everyone. We don't really have many offers out at the position and we're waiting on a couple of instate kids to see development either with weight or grades.

Willis, Godchaux and McDowell are all kids that could end up as DTs with Willis the only offer at this point. Then we're waiting to see a couple of other instate kids this spring and summer to see if they are worthy of an offer. OOS, the Valentine kid is one we like plus a couple others but none really have us as the favorite or anything. Pretty much a waiting game at this point that will clear up as the spring and summer come.

I personally think the staff is waiting a little on the freshmen to come in to see who exactly fits where. Lacouture is already at DT, Gilmore and Bain are coming and quite a few believe that Herron's future may be at DT. Could be a case of evaluating the position on the team along with evaluating the hs kids to make sure the numbers are right and that the right guys are pursued.

YeaH but he wants to be an end and he will go where he can be one. He mentioned in a recent interveiw about all the DE's we took last year concern him with regard to early playing time at LSU. He feels he can start at aTm as a freshman...
