go to some areas of new orleans and you'll see..
dirty diapers in parking lots of grocery stores, among other things, leftover family boxes of fried chicken remnants etc.. all 15 feet from a nearly empty trash can.

I flipped a cigarette butt on the street in Tokyo and a stranger walked up and made me pick it up. I looked around and noticed there was no litter to be seen anywhere. Just a different mentality of the general poulation.

Or go on a trail in Kisatchie. shite is everywhere. Beer cans, boxes, bottles and crap left over from the meth labs. Hell, how long does it take to clean up after the St. Patrick Day parade? shite is everywhere for weeks. There are too many boat ramps that are like landfills. Its pure laziness and lack of pride.

I can understand the urban areas. What used to really piss me off was going to my favorite fishing spots and seeing trash on the bank, beef cans floating in the lake, etc.

I think your giving people that litter a little too much credit in stating that they think it's their right. That would require them too think about it. It's learned from watching their degenerate family and friends! Let someone else worry about it!
