I would say by late first season, early second season, it starts to find it's legs. I'm excited for you, Dawg, as I watched the show when it aired.

95% of what happens in Cheers - happens in Cheers. They branch out only reluctantly and briefly.

I generally like the seasons that had Frasier and Diane, so, probably 3 through 5 - throw Coach in there, too, and I'll say 3 as a single favorite season.

My favorite episode is Season 1, Episode 19. My favorite single scene is from the Season 5 premiere and that is probably my second favorite episode.
